A Letter of Thanks
On behalf of the Health Issues Taskforce and the Summerfest '85 Committee, we would like to thank the following groups, organizations, and individuals who made "Summerfest '85 Dancin' in the Streets the success it was. Due to support we received, over $9000.00 was raised to educate the Cleveland area community about AIDS and give support to those Cleveland area residents who have been stricken with this disease.
No event of this type can be successful without hard work, cooperation, and generosity. Those listed below showed large measures of all three. Each in their own way gave their love. To all, we give our deepest thanks.
To the entertainers who made us jump, laugh, howl, and even cry: Melissa Ross, Mona Desmond, Lace, DeeDee Monroe, Kiki DeCarlo, Denise Michaels, Jeff Gerhardstein, Bob Navis, and Rod Caldwell. Thank You.

Again, thanks to all who made Summerfest '85 Dancin' in the Streets. However, the day would have been only another Sunday in August if it hadn't been for those who came to dance, sing, and celebrate. more importantly, people came to help others. Those in attendance proved that Cleveland's lesbian and gay community has a heart and soul that is living and growing, and for that: We Thank You.
